Jennifer Thompson, 2011 Courageous Truth Award Recipient

Jennifer Thompson, author of the New York Times bestseller Picking Cotton, will keynote our Fourth Annual Courageous Truth Award.

Jennifer will share her heart-wrenching story of courage, hope and justice.

As a rape victim at age 22, Jennifer was forced to endure an unspeakable crime.  She willed herself to survive the ordeal and ultimately identified the man she genuinely believed to be her perpetrator, Ronald Cotton.  Her powerful testimony sent Ronald to prison for life, and, convinced that she had helped to bring the right man to justice, Jennifer felt victorious when the guilty verdicts were read.
